Here's what you can expect during your appointment to add joint owners or beneficiaries.

Joint Owners

Both owners have the same access to the account. A joint owner can deposit, withdraw, or close the account.

Beneficiaries

Account ownership passes to the beneficiary upon the passing of account owner. Beneficiaries have no ownership or right to funds in the account while the account holder is alive.

Be sure to bring the requested documentation to your appointment.
Documents needed
  • Government ID for joint owners
  • Beneficiary SSN, address, phone number, and email 
  • Beneficiary does not need to be present
