Current Community Effort - Hunger Action Month

Helping our neighbors is what we do. During this month specifically, we're focusing on the needs of the people in our area who are food insecure. According to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, hunger in southwestern Pennsylvania isn’t always visible, but it almost always means that people are making difficult choices between purchasing nutritionally adequate foods and important basic needs, like housing or medical bills.

Here’s how you can help us support The Food Bank and combat food insecurity in our area:
  • Donate online. We’ll match up to $10,000 in online donations.
  • Purchase a Pittsburgh-themed t-shirt designed by us. All proceeds will go directly to the Food Bank.
Throughout the month, Clearview employees will be lending some helping hands and volunteering their time at local food pantries, banks, and rescues. Let’s fight food insecurity together!

Where can you find Clearview employees? Pretty much everywhere.

As a Pittsburgh credit union, we’re firmly rooted in the practice of helping our neighbors. After all, our entire vision is helping people to enjoy a better life! Clearview Cares® is our way of taking that vision to another level.

This program was established in 2019 in order to give our employees an opportunity to dedicate four hours of paid time off so they could volunteer their time and talent throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. But in time, we realized that Clearview Cares® was more than that. In fact, it’s everything we do for the community.

Martin Luther King Jr. once said: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’” Take a look at how we’re answering that question.

Growing up my family had to reach out to our community for assistance during a difficult time. I will never forget the friendly volunteers and how much they helped and made us feel comforted during this time. For me personally, this is why volunteering is so important to me. Putting my care into action means helping in a meaningful and measurable way when I can. I am always looking for new and interesting ways to help the community out! Margaret, Clearview Employee
One of my favorite things about Clearview’s culture is the passion for community engagement. Our leaders support the desire for their employees to give back and I am so fortunate to work for a company that truly cares. Maura, Clearview Employee
