What Clearview Federal Credit Union cards can I add to Samsung Pay?
Samsung Pay will work with all Clearview Federal Credit Union consumer Credit and Debit Cards.  

How do I add my Clearview FCU Credit and/or Debit Card to Samsung Pay?  Follow the steps below:

  1. In the Samsung Pay app on your device, click add.   
  2. Choose the add credit or debit option.
  • To automatically add your card information, position your card in the camera frame.  Review and provide addition information as required.  
  • Choose next.
  • Accept the terms of service
  • Sign as requested and save
  • To manually add your card information, choose the enter card manually button on the bottom of the screen.
  • Enter the card number, expiration date, CVC number and the 
  • Choose next
  • Accept the terms of service
  • Sign as requested and save

Why am I being asked to verify my Clearview FCU card?
For security reasons, we may need you to provide additional verification to add your Clearview FCU debit or credit card to Samsung Pay. When prompted, select your verification option and follow the instructions. A confirmation message will be sent to you letting you know your card is ready to use.

How do I set my Clearview FCU Debit/Credit card as my default card?
You do not have the ability to set a default card in Samsung Pay. The last card used or viewed would be the card defaulted for payment. You can swipe left and right to scroll through your payment cards and select the one you want to use for payment

Where can I use Samsung Pay?
Samsung Pay should be available wherever you would swipe your credit or debit card or wherever contactless payments are accepted. However, you should still carry your physical cards to use where contactless payments are not accepted.      

What is the virtual account number?
It is a unique number (tokenization) assigned to each one of your Clearview FCU cards that you add to Samsung Pay. The virtual number is used at checkout so your full card details are never shared with the store.  

What happens if my phone is lost or stolen and I have Clearview FCU cards in Samsung Pay?
Payments can't be made from your phone without being authorized via fingerprint or the PIN chosen during the setup process. Also, if you register with Samsung's Find My Mobile service you can remotely erase information on the phone, including any cards stored in Samsung Pay.

What if my Clearview Federal Credit Union Debit or Credit card is stolen?

Is Samsung Pay secure?
Samsung Pay does not store the account or credit card numbers of cards on the device, instead using tokenization for transactions. Each time a purchase is made, the Samsung Pay handset sends two pieces of data to the payment terminal. The first is a 16-digit token that represents the credit or debit card number, while the second piece is a one-time code or cryptogram that's generated by the phone's encryption key.

Does Clearview Federal Credit Union charge members to use Samsung Pay?
No, there is no cost to members for this service.

Will the card image in Samsung Pay match my physical card?
No, the card image won't be an exact match. Keep in mind this doesn't affect how your card works with Samsung Pay.

How do I make purchases with Samsung Pay?
Just swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen on your mobile device, or launch the Samsung Pay app. Choose your payment card. Authenticate using the fingerprint sensor on your phone, or by entering your Samsung Pay PIN. Then hold your phone or device near the payment terminal to complete the transaction. You may need to sign a receipt or enter your PIN as usual.
