We recently sent you a brand new Clearview Mastercard® to replace your current Visa® card. As a result of this change:

  • The terms of your account will not change
  • Your card will work the same way it always has – no worrying about service interruption!

Why the change?

By now, you should have received a pre-notification letter about this change. For reference, here are the letters for the Platinum, Premium WorldTM, and Business Platinum cards.

Mastercard Credit FAQs

Why are my recent payments and purchases not showing on my Mastercard?
All transactions made with your Visa credit card prior to September 11th have been moved to your Mastercard. Any additional transactions you may make on your Visa credit card will move to your Mastercard the next business day after the posted date.

How do I add my Mastercard details online so I can see my statement?

Click on Mastercard under Accounts in Online Banking. If you had eStatements previously, they will be visible under your new Mastercard account. You may remove your Visa account if this is the case! If you did not previously have eStatements, you will not be able to view your last statement under your Mastercard account. However, you can still view your Visa account to see your statement.

Please note: the email verification system will ask you to confirm your existing email, which will be partially shown in the system. You must confirm the existing email before you can change it. If you’d like to update your email address on file in the system, follow these steps:

  • On the Account Home tab, under Quick Links, select My Profile
  • Answer security questions, and provide the requested information.
  • Go to the Contact Information screen to change the email address and save
  • If you were previously enrolled in eStatements, all Visa eStatements will move over to the Mastercard

Why do I see two accounts in Online Banking?
Your former Visa® account and current Mastercard® account will continue to show up in Online Banking until your Visa card is closed on October 25th. Your Visa balance will be transferred to your Mastercard. If you use your Visa card prior to receiving your new Mastercard, any purchase or payment will be transferred to your Mastercard the following business day.

Can I continue using my Visa card?
No, your current card is being discontinued; to enjoy uninterrupted service, it’s important to activate and begin using your new Clearview Mastercard as soon as it arrives.

What do I have to do to activate the new card?

  • Call 800-631-3197 from your primary phone to activate your new Mastercard®.
  • Sign the back of your new Mastercard.
  • Cut up and discard your old Visa® card.

Do I have to change all of my automatic/recurring payments to the new card?
Yes, to ensure zero interruptions to your billing services, please update all merchants who have the previous Visa card information.

Will I receive a final bill from Visa on September 20th?
A final Visa statement including the cycle activity leading up to the conversion will be provided to members. The ending balance will convert to the new card and be reflected on the first Mastercard statement.

Are current cardholders eligible for the new cardholder promotions?
At this time, we are offering a promotional rate and bonus points to new cardholders. If you currently have a Platinum card and would like to upgrade to the Premium WorldTM card, you would be eligible for the new cardholder bonus!

Will my due date change?
No, your due date will continue to be on the 21st of the month.   

Is there a late fee assessed?
If a payment is not made by cycle date. This is typically 3-5 days after the payment due date.

Who should I call to report my credit card lost or stolen?
You should contact Mastercard directly at 866-576-1342.

Do you offer a Mastercard Easy Pay program?
Yes, an automatic payment option will be available; if you are currently enrolled, your automatic payments will continue to be made as before.

When will my new Mastercard credit card expire?
Cards will expire 4 years from their issue date.

Do I have to spend $5,000 before I accrue relationship points with the Premium WorldTM Mastercard®?
Yes, once the annual spending requirement of $5000 is reached, the relationship points accrued will be added to the card in January of the following year. This allows you a longer period of time to qualify for rewards. For the partial first year in which the card is opened, the relationship points will automatically be given without the spend requirement. This will also include the cards transferred from Visa to Mastercard in August.  (i.e. If a member opens a card in March of 2020, they will automatically be given all relationship points earned in January of 2021 regardless of spend.  In 2022, the spend minimum will be required.)

NOTE: This is ONLY for the relationship points; members can still accrue points for purchases on a monthly basis.

What happens if I do not spend the minimum annual $5,000 for the Clearview Premium WorldTM card?
The relationship points will not be added to the rewards bank at the end of the annual period. The good news is that you can try again the following year! The new year begins in January. For the partial first year in which the card is opened, the points will automatically be given without the spend requirement. This will also include the cards transferred from Visa to Mastercard in August.

Can points be used to refund Clearview fees?
At this time, a member may redeem points for cash to reimburse the value of the fee.

When are my points added to my rewards bank?
Purchase points are added monthly, relationship points are added annually by the first billing cycle of the following January.

Do points I’ve earned expire?
Yes, after 4 years.

What is the minimum amount of cash I can redeem?
The minimum cash redemption will be $25.    

How much can I increase my certificate rate?
The maximum is 5%.

How many phones are covered on the Cellular Wireless Telephone Protection?
There is not a specific number of devices covered, as long as it is included on the bill that is paid using your new Mastercard.

Does the Cellular Wireless Telephone Protection select which cell carriers will be covered?
Restrictions apply; pre-paid carriers are not included. Claims can be directed to Mastercard Claims by calling 1-800-Mastercard or go to www.mycardbenefits.com

Is there Travel and Accident Insurance on the Mastercard?
Yes, the Premium WorldTM Mastercard and Business Platinum card offer Travel Accident Insurance.
