Traditional IRA Certificates

  • 3- and 6-month: $500 minimum deposit. Dividends paid at maturity and credited back to the certificate.
  • 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 48 and 60-month: $1,000 minimum deposit. Dividends credited and compounded to the certificate quarterly.
  • Certificates automatically renew at maturity unless you indicate otherwise. If you choose not to renew, the money must roll over into another IRA account or you may face a tax penalty.
  • Early withdrawal penalties apply to the IRA certificates.

Roth IRA Savings Certificates

  • 3- and 6-month: $500 minimum deposit. Dividends paid at maturity and credited back to the certificate.
  • 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 48 and 60-month: $1,000 minimum deposit. Dividends credited and compounded to the certificate quarterly.
  • Certificates automatically renew at maturity unless you indicate otherwise. If you choose not to renew, the money must roll over into another IRA account or you may face a tax penalty.

Coverdell Education Savings Certificates

  • These certificates focus on meeting the costs of higher education or private primary and secondary school tuition.
  • Contributions can be made regardless of participation in any other IRA programs.
  • Qualified individuals, whether related to the child or not, may contribute up to the combined maximum contribution of $2,000 per child, per year, until the child turns 18.
  • All contributions to the Coverdell Education certificates are non-deductible.
  • Earnings may be withdrawn tax-free if used to pay for qualified education expenses before the student reaches age 30.
  • 3- and 6-month: $100 minimum deposit. Dividends will be paid at maturity and credited back to the certificate.
  • 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 48 and 60-month: $100 minimum deposit. Dividends will be credited and compounded to the certificate quarterly.
