Free Tax Return Help

Tax laws are complicated. It can seem like you need to be an expert to know which credits and deductions to take. That’s why the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program offers free tax help to low and moderate income people who cannot prepare their own returns.

And we’re participating at some of our branches!

How
Trained Clearview volunteers can help you prepare your basic federal tax return and assist you with special credits you may qualify for. In addition to free tax return preparation assistance, you can also take advantage of free electronic filing (e-filing). e-Filing will help you see your refund in half the time of a paper return and even faster if you have your refund direct deposited into your Clearview account.

Where
If you are interested in being screened for eligibility for free tax preparation, call Clearview’s VITA Hotline at (412) 507-5190. Appointments are available at our Center Township, Hopewell, Moon Township, Robinson Township and Sewickley branches. Or, call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to locate the VITA site closest to you.

When
We will be opening our tax season on February 11, 2017. You may schedule your appointment starting Wednesday, February 2, 2016 by calling our VITA Hotline at (412) 507-5190.
