Joint Accounts

A better digital banking experience for joint owners.

We’re making it easier to manage all of your accounts in one place.

Beginning July 11, 2023, you’ll be able to view and transact on the other accounts you’re joint on under your primary login for digital banking. Your joint accounts will now be listed on your My Accounts page in both online banking and our banking app. You’ll also automatically be able to make transfers between your accounts without needing to contact us. Both your primary and joint accounts will be available in the to and from drop downs on the transfer page.

Now is a great time to check in on who is joint on your account or whose account you’re joint on prior to this change taking place. To do so, call us at 1-800-926-0003 or schedule an appointment at your local financial center or with Clearview Live® video banking.

Important things to know:

  • View and transfer permissions will automatically be added to your digital banking account beginning July 11, 2023.
  • If you previously had a recurring transfer set up between a primary and joint account, you’ll need to reschedule it once the changes are in effect.
  • If a joint owner doesn’t have their own primary account, they’ll continue to use shared access, which is set up in online banking, to view the account activity.
If you have any questions, call us at 1-800-926-0003 or schedule an appointment at your local financial center or with Clearview Live® video banking.

Still have questions about Joint Accounts?
If you have a scheduled recurring transfer from your primary to a joint account, you’ll need to delete and re-add the transfer. To delete a recurring transfer, select View scheduled transfers under Move money. Select Cancel next to the transfer to remove it. You can reschedule the recurring transfer from the Make a Transfer page. For more detailed instructions on scheduling a recurring transfer, check out our Digital Academy.
Yes. You can reorder your accounts in online banking by going to My Settings then selecting Rename & Hide your accounts at the bottom of the page. To reorder your accounts, click the account you want to move and drag and drop it to a different position. While this needs to be set up in online banking, the changes will be reflected in our banking app.
Yes, you can hide any accounts in online banking by going to My Settings then select Rename & Hide your accounts at the bottom of the page. To hide your accounts, uncheck the check box next to the account you want to hide. When you hide your accounts, they’ll be removed from the transfers page. While this needs to be set up in online banking, the changes will be reflected in our banking app. Learn how at our Digital Academy.
Only primary account owners are able to rename or nickname an account.
You won’t be able to view your joint credit cards in digital banking. You can view transactions, make payments, and more on your joint credit cards within our Card Defense® app.
You’ll need to set up shared access in online banking to provide a joint owner access to an account as you would today. When setting up shared access, you can control what accounts the person can view or transact on.
When someone is removed from your account and if they have their own primary account, their digital banking access for the joint account will be removed immediately. If the person does not have their own primary account, you’ll still need to log in to online banking and remove their shared access as you would before this change.
You can contact us at 1-800-926-0003 or schedule an appointment at your local financial center or with Clearview Live® to have a joint owner removed from your account.
We regularly remove inactive digital banking users. Your old credentials will be deleted from our records. We can also manually remove your account at your request.
