Clearview takes a Polar Plunge for Special Olympics

A jump team braves cold temperatures for a great cause

Pittsburgh, PA, March 3, 2020, (clearviewfcu.org)… Clearview Federal Credit Union participated in the Polar Plunge held on Saturday, February 29th, with nine jumpers taking to the freezing water in support of Special Olympics. The event was held at Heinz Field, where the temperature on Saturday hovered around a chilly 19 degrees.

In addition to the nine Clearview team members, Ron Celaschi, the CEO of Clearview took the plunge into the freezing water. He was part of over 1,500 Pittsburghers who braved the bitter cold for this worthy cause. Clearview raised over $2,400 for Special Olympics through the Polar Plunge and are a proud sponsor of Special Olympics Pennsylvania. The Clearview contribution added to the record breaking amount raised this year. A total of $573,285 was raised, well above the set goal of $500,000. The Pittsburgh Polar Plunge is in its tenth year.
