Recent employee giving
Our employee, Nora B., was our first quarter Deduct-A-Buck charitable giving program winner for 2024!
Nora decided to contribute her $1,000 prize to support Aliquippa Green and shared, "I chose Aliquippa Green because they create educational opportunities to empower local kids in technology, agriculture, and home restoration fields. I feel it is important to invest in the next generation so they can learn and hone their skills to give them a brighter and self-sufficient future."
Where we've volunteered recently
Last month, our amazing employee volunteers donated over 350 hours to support 50 nonprofits in Southwestern, PA! They helped with Hope Grows' Victorian Tea event, Family Hospice's birdie hole, and welcomed 400 veterans heading to D.C. with Vet’s Roll. Our team also cleaned the gym at Salvation Army Camp Allegheny for summer camp and judged the Prevention Network and Class Academy's Mr. Beaver County event. We're so proud of their efforts and positive impact!
Clearview Kid’s Program at Cranberry Farmer’s Market!
We will be hosting a Kid’s Program in conjunction with the Cranberry Farmer’s Market on select dates in 2024. Children ages 5 to 11* can be registered by their parent or guardian to participate and will receive $2 in Farm Bucks each active week** that they check in at the Clearview booth. These Farm Bucks can be spent at participating vendors to purchase locally grown fruits, veggies, and other healthy snacks available at the market. Upon registration, kids will also receive a special mini tote bag that they can bring to the market each week to use for their shopping. And each active week, participants will receive a Kid’s Program handout that will feature a fruit or veggie of the week, financial tips, and a coloring section! Sometimes a scam is as simple as promising you to save time and money. Student loan forgiveness scams will target borrowers by using aggressive advertising language, promises that seem too good to be true, and communicating with unofficial addresses or phone numbers.
Federal Student Aid, a department of the U.S. Department of Education, mentions that official text messages will only come from 227722 or 51592 and official emails only come from three distinct addresses.
How to protect yourself:
- Be cautious of any calls you receive about your student loans.
- Double check URLs and email addresses to make sure they're legit and official.
