  • Clearview has been made aware of a fraudulent attempt to obtain personal information using a message appearing to be from the Cash Edge funds transfer system. When the user attempts to log into what they believe is the Online Banking software provided by their credit union or bank, they view a message appearing to be from Cash Edge asking for personal information in order to enroll in a risk monitoring service. This message is not from Cash Edge, nor Clearview. You should not enter any personal information if you see this message.
     
    Clearview would never solicit personal information from you in this manner. If you receive a similar message, close your browser window and immediately run virus scan software. This message is likely caused by malware installed on your computer when you downloaded a file from the internet. If you have any questions concerns, please call us at 1-800-926-0003, or email support@clearviewfcu.org.
  • Due to a recent government regulation, paper Savings Bonds are no longer sold at Clearview, or any other financial institution. Instead, all Series EE and I Savings Bonds are to be purchased directly from the U.S. Treasury’s website at www.treasurydirect.gov. You will also be able to convert existing paper bonds into electronic bonds using the U.S. Treasury’s website. Paper Savings Bonds may still be redeemed at Clearview.   • Clearview is proud to have received another “Superior” five-star rating from Bauer Financial, an independent agency that rates financial institutions based on their financial stability. This marks the 86th consecutive quarter that Bauer Financial has recommended Clearview as a financial institution.

  • The U.S. Public Interest Research Group (U.S. PIRG), a non-profit public interest advocacy organization, has recently suggested that consumers “bank at a credit union, not at a bank.” The organization recently released a study finding that banks are hiding many fees from consumers, and less than half of the banks they surveyed fully obeyed laws mandating disclosing fees to customers.   • To change the PIN of your debit or ATM card, you can simply call 1-866-985-2273, or you can make the change using any STAR Network ATM that offers this service.
