Tips For Avoiding ATM Surcharges
<UL><Li>Look for a credit union-owned ATM. Credit unions are less likely to surcharge than banks. However, it is an option and some credit unions may surcharge for the use of their ATM. </LI>
<li> Look for small, locally owned financial institutions. They are less likely to surcharge. </LI>
<li> Use your debit card for purchases instead of using cash. And when you use your debit card, ask for cash back! </LI>
<li> Visit this link and see if there are Credit Union Shared Branches near you. Not all Shared Branches have ATMs, but you will be able to access your account and withdraw cash*. </LI>
<li> Search the Web for non-surcharging ATMs. </LI></ul>
Your Credit Union has no control over any fees other financial institutions may charge for use of their ATM. Look for a sticker or sign notifying you of any surcharges. If you see a notice informing you of a surcharge, cancel the transaction and try to find an ATM that does not surcharge.

Keep in mind, we allow you eight (8) free transactions per month at any non-Credit Union owned ATMs.  Once you exceed eight (8) transactions, you will be charged $1.00 for each additional transaction.

However, please be aware that there are no complete nationwide or even statewide lists of non-surcharging ATMs. Many of these lists are also limited to ATMs that belong to a certain network, or are credit union ATMs only, or are otherwise limited.
