What about Credit Cards that offer
Rewards Points, Are they worth it?
Everyone likes getting freebies and credit cards that feature rewards or points certainly are offering consumers the world. Demand for rewards continues to increase as consumers rack up award points and clamor to get something for nothing.

Many consumers do profit from these programs, however there are a few things to consider before you sign up:

1. Read the fine print. All card programs contain restrictions of some sort. It may be that an airline reward card restricts travel by posting black-out dates or not allowing you to redeem
miles at certain airlines. Maybe the points expire if not used within a certain period of time.

2. Be careful of your shopping level. Don’t pay on credit just to receive points, unless you pay
off your balance in full each month. Conversely, some programs offer only reduced incentives when the cardholder doesn’t reach a certain spending threshold, especially those with
cash-back features.

3. Know the fee structure. Most reward cards carry a higher interest rate than traditional cards and may also charge you an annual fee. These disadvantages usually outweigh any rewards
you might gain.
